Out on a Limb

The juvenile bald eagles are getting brave venturing out beyond their nest. They perched on the limb surveying the empty lot below. It was not long before the adult returned with a fish to share.

While swimming in the pool below we were visited by a juvenile bald eagle who was most curious about our lanai. It stayed a good 10 minutes on the pool cage watching us and providing an opportunity to get some pretty spectacular close up photos.

The 20th Annual Pigeon Key Art Festival was held February 8th and 9th, 2014 at the beautiful Marathon Community Park MM49. Each year artists demonstrate their skills during the show, giving attendees a glimpse of the techniques behind their original creations. I have been following the work of Charles for the past 6 years. I am drawn to the detail of his gorgeous watercolour paintings.
