Hickory Tussock
The Hickory Tussock moth catterpillar is a garden-variety caterpillar that packs a poisonous punch. The five-centimetre critter is white
with black markings and covered tufts of spiky hair.
It can be
found throughout Southern Ontario and residents are cautioned against touching the caterpillars as they can cause skin irritation in humans, similar to the effects of poison ivy.

Wild Columbine
Wild Columbine is one of our most familiar and beautiful wildflowers.
It has fascinating hollow spur-like flowers that appear to be two
flowers in one: an inner yellow flower that is surrounded by an
elegantly spurred red outer flower.

Wild Geranium
These attractive lavender blooms of Wild Geranium are among the most
widely known of all the spring wildflowers. Unlike many other spring
bloomers, it keeps its attractive foliage all season long. Although it
is typically found in shady dry to medium soils, Geranium maculatum will
also grow in medium-moist soil in full sun.
